Kathy is a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) and Advanced Practice Holistic Nurse (APHN). She has worked in a variety of settings as a nurse: Neonatal ICU, private holistic practice with a focus on homeopathy, community health clinic as an FNP, and as Nursing Faculty at several universities across the U.S. In addition to her clinical and didactic experience, Kathy has participated in curriculum development for undergraduate and graduate nursing courses. Kathy’s focus in teaching is to provide an open environment for learning and engaging students in experiential reflective learning.

Her upbringing in Bangladesh, Pakistan, and Thailand influenced Kathy’s interest in a multicultural approach to care and a desire to practice natural healing. Returning to America in 1972, her family settled in Louisville Kentucky. This is where she was introduced to yoga and meditation, a specific spiritual path, focused on Neohumanism. She has continued this practice for the past 50 years.

Kathy moved to Nashville TN with her husband and two sons in the early 90’s. Her hobbies include crafts, sewing and quilt making, travel, and being in nature.
